Buttons buttons

David loves buttons. He always points out the buttons and snaps on everyone's clothes. He has some pajama shirts that have some big buttons on them and he has been undoing them for a while. There were a couple mornings that we walked in to find a bare bellied boy.

I showed him how to do the buttons a few times and then last week, he decided to give it a try. David refused help and sat for probably 5 minutes working out the buttons. After a minute and several tries, he got the first one. The second one was easier but still took a few tries. The third took a few more tries because it was higher up, but the last one, he got the first try! All the help he required was pointing out which button went with which hole. He did the rest all on his own!

Since then, he's done his buttons a few more times. He can almost get the smaller buttons on his button-up Sunday shirt, but not quite yet.

I don't have a picture of him doing it. A video would be better, but we don't have a digital video camera, and my camera doesn't do videos. It sounds like we could get the video from our regular video camera on the computer, but we haven't figured out how to do that yet. Soooo no video....and no picture. Maybe later.
